5. Lulu Lillean Jordan, born January 23, 1880 in Glasco, Cloud County, Kansas; died October 02, 1972 in Garden Grove, California. She was the daughter, possibly the adopted daughter, of 10. Aaron Edmond Jordan and 11. Anna Rachel Crawford.
Lulu Lillean Jordan was told by A.E. Jordan after Anna R. Jordan died in 1925 that she was an adopted child. That her natural parents were Anna's sister, Mary Crawford Skelton, and Charles L./John Skilton - a distant cousin of A.E. Jordan. The U.S. Federal Census of 1880, lists her as an unnamed female child, born January 1880, a daughter of A.E. and Anna Jordan in Lyons Twp., Cloud Co., Ks. June 1880. Lulu says that her original name was Rebecca Ann, but that Anna R. did not like that name. I have found no other verification of the story, and although I have identified a Skelton family of cousins, I have not found one the right age to have married Mary Crawford- nor do I know what happened to her. The story is that she had TB, and went to Colorado to die. Lulu also claimed that the closeness in births between her and her brother was further evidence that she was not a natural child of Anna, although sometimes only a year lapses between births. Lulu believed that she was an adopted child, and wrote a memo to that effect.
Children of Frank Abelard and Lulu Jordan are:

Notes for Lydia Sofia Blomquist: Her Blomquist ancestry is traced in Levala-Slakten by Par-Erick Levlin, Del. 1.2 for the immediate family. Several volumes have been published of various Swede Finns to America by this author from Sollentuna, Sweden. Par Erik Levala attended a family reunion of Matt Blomquist descendants in Metropolitan Michigan on July 4, 1987 - marking his 100th year post emigration to the United States, and brought with him Genealogical Charts for Mats Johansson Pass and Sanna Sofia Gustavsdotter Boos, giving background on the farms the family owned, and brothers and sisters in each generation as found in the farm and church records from the parishes of Purmo and Nykarlesby. AT the time, he brought genealogical charts tracing Matt's family back to Anders Larsson With (b. about 1587], and Sanna Sofia Gustavsdotter Boos further. In the charts only to the early 1700's but her family is covered in Levala Slakten.

Bengt signed his name Bengt D. Blomquist. He worked as a logger and general handyman in and around Metropolitan Michigan, and Wisconsin, and married Alice Kintgen who apparently was also a native of Michigan. Alice was not liked by Lydia and the feeling was mutual. However, Bengt and Alice joined Lydia and Lawrence in California sometime after 1948 Bengt and Alice separated, and Alice apparently "remarried" someone named Wren and then Mr. Wren left her when she was pregnant with a second baby in 1953 and living in Wapello Washington.

a civil case turned up, which showed that the farm he "owned" was sold at a
sheriffs sale by Samuel Taylor, administrator of Colbert Pelly. Further research
shows that the land was mortgaged to Colbert Pelly. I believe that this family
was probably related on Burgess' mother's side- by marriage to his maternal
grandmother. The decree of sale was filed in the Circuit Court of Appanoose
County, Iowa in January 1879.
